Qualify Innovation for Microsoft Teams
Qualify Innovation brings structured project profiling into Microsoft Teams, so innovation managers can find out early how strong a project idea really is, before budget, people and time are committed to it.
Why it helps
Project decisions are often made on gut feeling and on the opinion of whoever speaks loudest. Qualify Innovation replaces that with a repeatable evaluation: several evaluators score the same project against the same criteria, independently, and the app shows where they agree, where they differ and what the overall picture is. The result is a fact-based discussion instead of a debate.
What you can do in Teams
- Start a project profiling: give the project a title, choose one of three criteria sets (New Product Development full with 14 criteria, New Product Development small with 7 criteria, or Technology Platform Development with 11 criteria) and set a deadline.
- Invite up to five evaluators by email. Evaluators need no account and no Teams client; they score the project through a personal link in their browser, which works until the deadline.
- Follow the evaluation status: see how many of the invited evaluators have finished and who is still open, and copy an evaluator’s invitation link if the invitation email did not arrive.
- Go through the deviation between evaluators criterion by criterion, agree on a score and record the reasoning as a comment.
- See the aggregated result as a spider-web chart, with the average score per criterion.
- Add the app as a tab to a channel or a group chat, so the team sees the result where the discussion happens.
Who it is for
Innovation managers, portfolio and PMO leads, and decision makers in companies that run a stage-gate or idea-to-project process and want a comparable, documented evaluation of every project.
Supported clients
The app works in Microsoft Teams (desktop and web), in the Microsoft 365 app and in Outlook. It is designed for desktop screens; on a phone it shows a short “Desktop only” notice rather than a layout that does not fit.
What you need
- An active Qualify Innovation organisation account. There is no self-service sign-up for organisation accounts: request one here or write to support@go4qi.com.
- Evaluators receive their invitation from info@qualifyinnovation.com; the link works until the deadline set by the manager.
- Each account runs one active profiling at a time; starting a new one replaces the previous.
